When most people think of the Cozy Cabinet, they think of blankets—warm, tangible, and comforting. But every blanket we give is paired with a comfort card—a small, handwritten or decorated card that carries messages of hope, encouragement, and connection. These cards are especially meaningful because many of the recipients, including the veterans we support, are battling challenges or undergoing rehabilitation to get back on their feet.

What is a Comfort Card?

A comfort card is a personal message included with each blanket. It can include uplifting words, positive quotes, simple greetings, or artwork that brighten someone’s day. The goal is to provide emotional warmth alongside physical warmth, reminding recipients that they are seen, valued, and cared for during difficult times.

Why Comfort Cards Matter

For many of the veterans we serve, receiving a blanket is more than a physical gift—it’s a sign of support. The comfort card adds a personal connection, showing that someone took the time to think of them and care. These cards provide hope, add a heartfelt touch to every blanket, and remind recipients they are not alone. Encouragement from a comfort card can uplift spirits, boost morale, and support recovery for veterans and community members working to get back on their feet.

How You Can Help

We have a special goal this year: collect 40 blankets and 40 comfort cards to provide warmth and hope to those in need. Here’s how you can contribute:

1. Create a comfort card: Write an encouraging message, include artwork or designs, and help us reach our goal of 40 cards. Invite friends and family to join—you can make multiple cards together!

2. Even if you can’t donate a blanket, creating a comfort card is a meaningful way to volunteer your time. Each card is a message of hope, care, and connection, helping Cozy Cabinet provide both physical and emotional comfort. Every blanket paired with a card reminds recipients they are seen, valued, and supported.

Join Us in Reaching Our Goal! Together, we can collect 40 blankets and 40 comfort cards at the drive, bringing warmth and encouragement to veterans and community members working to rebuild their lives. Your participation helps ensure that every blanket carries a personal message of hope and compassion, making a lasting difference in someone’s journey.
