Your participation and generosity have helped us grow stronger every year! The Cozy Cabinet is more than a collection of blankets—it’s a symbol of compassion, hope, and community solidarity. This year, we honor the memory of Walter Dickerson, a beloved veteran and father, whose spirit of service and kindness continues to inspire our mission. As we expand our outreach initiatives in 2025, we invite you to stay connected and continue making an impact.

Thank you for supporting this small but meaningful cause dedicated to civic greatness. Together, we can make a real difference.

Meet Julie
Thirteen years ago, Julie created what was once known as “Desserts & Donations.” It began as a small, heartfelt gathering in her home, where she welcomed friends, colleagues, and family for seasonal desserts, conversation, and her homemade vegetarian chili. In return, guests brought blankets and essentials that Julie personally delivered to individuals experiencing homelessness and to veterans working to regain stability.Julie’s heart for service grew from something she quietly observed over many years: how many people live without a strong support system. She noticed neighbors aging alone, veterans with limited family nearby, and individuals struggling through emotional, financial, or health challenges with no one checking in on them. She felt called to create moments of connection—small reminders that someone sees you, cares, and took a moment to think about you.

As her giving evolved, Julie wanted to support people experiencing personal hardship of any kind. That led to the creation of the Healing Hearts Campaign.Whether someone is navigating grief, recovering from illness, experiencing financial stress, or simply going through a difficult chapter, Healing Hearts aims to brighten their day in a personal and intentional way.Cozy Cabinet continues to expand through annual drives, supportive campaigns, and community-led efforts that uplift those who may be overlooked or carrying more than their share..
